I can't keep our place clean at all. You can barely walk through our livingroom, there's so much junk piled all over the place. I fear the neighbors will peek inside and think we've been vandalized.
I try to cook for my husband. He claims that I make better food for Baby Bear than I do for him. More often than not, he brings dinner home. Yesterday, I actually cooked, but I pulled a "stupid." I took a pyrex pan out of the oven and unknowingly placed it in a puddle of water on the counter. For any of you who have ever done that...crack! and glass is all over your kitchen. Thank goodness no one was nearby to get hit by the flying glass.
I drag my baby out all the time. I can't stand being home for too long, so I take Baby Bear on random outings to take the edge off the insanity. Well, she doesn't last long, and I end up making her more tired, and that pretty much ruins her nap schedule for the day.
But in spite of all of that, It's so neat to be able to see Baby Bear grow and change each day. It's worth being home if I get to see this toothy grin all the time...

your place, no that bad.
uh, we kind of let it go in the past couple of weeks...so it's messier than before.
Carina, I think there is this myth that stay at home moms are supposed to have it all together. But I think that, especially for new moms, that is just not realistic. If you can figure out what's essential, try to do those things. And then figure out what you'd like to be better at and eventually things will get better. Our house, more often than not, is like a disaster zone and I've only just started cooking semi-reguarly again. And then only half the time do I cook anything that actually tastes good. Don't be too hard on yourself.
I take Caius out a lot too. I probably spend 1 or 2 days at home because after a while, I get stir crazy. I feel guilty sometimes too, but he's usually fine. It's too isolating and, yes, boring to be home all day, every day. If you need to go out to stay sane, then there's nothing wrong with that. Babies are resiliant. =)
Does BB have a regular nap schedule? Caius just started having one this month, but even now it's only his morning nap that is regular. Other than that, he may have an afternoon nap or he may not and I can never plan on it being at a certain time.
I hear you! At the end of the day, I feel like I accomplished way less than a day at work-in-the-office, but I'm ten times more tired! Why is that? Hahaha...
carina! we should hang out!!!! seriously! come over and we can hangout and watch tv and let our kids roam free haha. it'll be fun!
